Enhanced Pan, Tilt and Zoom Synchronization for High-quality Video and On-Site Operability
Osaka, Japan – Panasonic Entertainment & Communication has unveiled the AW-UE150AW/AK 4K integrated camera, designed to meet the professional demands of broadcasters and content creators with enhanced video quality, operability, and efficiency for studio video production. Set for release in January 2025, this new model builds on the features of the widely used AW-UE150W/K, which was introduced in 2018.
The AW-UE150AW/AK is equipped with a high-sensitivity 1.0-inch sensor and Panasonic’s acclaimed wide dynamic range, which was praised in the previous model for delivering smooth gradation and excellent video quality. Key upgrades include a more advanced Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) with internal mechanisms that reduce image shake during pan and tilt movements, as well as improved synchronization of pan, tilt, and zoom presets for smoother, more natural operation. Additionally, the built-in optical low-pass filter helps minimize luminance and color moiré when filming monitors or LED walls.
The AW-UE150AW/AK is also compatible with Panasonic’s AK-HRP1010GJ/HRP1015GJ Remote Operation Panel, allowing for seamless color matching with studio cameras. Tally indicators in red, green, and yellow enhance its functionality in broadcasting setups, making it a flexible option for studio camera systems.
With support for various video output formats, including 12G-SDI, 2x 3G-SDI, HDMI, IP, and fiber, the AW-UE150AW/AK can easily integrate into a wide range of on-site production systems. For IP transmission, it offers standard support for NDI® High Bandwidth* for low-latency 4K video delivery, while SRT support ensures reliable performance even in unstable network conditions. This versatility makes Panasonic’s new PTZ camera ideal for compact systems used in remote production or live streaming.
