Designed for audio equipment having an NP-1 battery mount, theΒ NP-9X 96Wh Li-Ion NP-Style BatteryΒ fromΒ IDXΒ has a relatively high capacity of 96Wh and offers two D-Tap outputs for powering accessories. One of the D-Tap ports is a D-Tap Advanced type, which also functions as a charging input for the optional IDX VL-DT1 D-Tap charger (according to IDX, this is the only charger supported by the D-Tap Advanced port).
The NP-9X is IDX's follow-up to their popular NP-L7S NP-style battery and is compatible with all the same accessories, including the JL-2PLUS charger, sold separately.

This 96WhΒ IDX 14.4V Li-Ion Battery for Sony BP-U Mount CamerasΒ provides power for your Sony FS7, FS5, and PMW-series cameras. It incorporates a USB port and D-Tap Advanced power port which can be used for powering your accessories. A four-LED gauge indicates the charge state of your battery. The battery's internal circuitry provides over-charge, over-discharge, and high load overcurrent protection.
This battery is compatible with and powers Sony FS5, FS7, and PMW-series cameras.
It incorporates a USB port, D-Tap port, and D-Tap Advanced power port which can be used for powering your accessories.
The D-Tap Advanced port is compatible with D-Tap plugs for power output. However, with a compatible charger (not included), you can charge the battery via the D-Tap Advanced port.
Charging your battery via the standard D-Tap is not recommended.
The USB output port is not a data port and is only for power. It provides 5V at 2.3A. It is an A-type connector and becomes active when you push and hold the CHECK/USB ON button for longer than three seconds. It will turn off once the cable has been removed or no power has been drawn for more than 30 minutes.
