The Panasonic AK-PLV100 4K CINELIVE 4K Studio Camera from Panasonic combines the operability of a studio camera with the ability to use cine-style lenses for shallow depth-of-field looks. Its VariCam heritage offers features like a cinematic look, a V-Log profile, and dual native ISOs for nuanced capture in a range of light levels. Equipped with a large-format 5.7K Super35 sensor, this ARRI PL-mount camera can switch from cinematic 24p capture to broadcast-style 30p capture.
Designed for studio use, the Panasonic AK-PLV100 camera does not incorporate a recorder, instead it outputs video via its LEMO SMPTE fiber optic, 12G-SDI, or 3G-SDI connectors. Panasonic AK-PLV100 captures up to 59.94 frame rates and can output 12G-SDI signals directly from the camera head without the need for a CCU. Compatibility with 2/3″ studio systems enables you to maintain a base set of components that can be used with different camera heads chosen according to your desired output.

CCU-Free Basic Operation
Able to be used without a CCU, the Panasonic AK-PLV100 CINELIVE 4K Studio Camera outputs LEMO SMPTE ST2110 and 12G-SDI video directly from its camera head and only requires an optical-fiber connection for return input, intercom input/output, PTP synchronization, trunk out, and tally input.
Options for 12G-SDI video output directly from the camera head includes uncompressed HD and UHD 4K with JPEG-XS 12G-SDI compression.
Works with 2/3″ Camera Components
Compatibility with Panasonic’s 2/3″ studio-camera system components enables the use of CCUs, ROPs, and other accessories. With this new concept for live production, you can select a camera head according to the desired concept while using the same system base.
