Introducing a fresh perspective on traditional bi-color lighting, Aputure’s newest powerhouse, the Aputure STORM 1200x Bi-Color LED Monolight, combines a highly efficient full-spectrum chipset with cutting-edge dimming capabilities, exceptional color precision, a versatile Bowens mount, and durable, IP65-rated construction for professional-grade performance in any scenario.

The BLAIR Chip Innovation

The new STORM series of LED monolights, with the 1200x being the first model, showcases Aputure’s pioneering BLAIR chipset, which incorporates blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red LEDs for enhanced brightness and color fidelity. Achieving a 95 CRI and TLCI rating, alongside an 87 SSI score at both 3200K and 5600K, the multicolor diodes significantly improve the light’s ability to match colors. The light boasts a CCT range from 2500 to 10,000K, with integrated green-magenta correction for superior white-point control. Additionally, the daylight 5600K output delivers 202,500 lux at 3.3′ when paired with the included 45° reflector.

Enhanced Dimming and Connectivity

Equipped with an advanced controller, the STORM 1200x offers smooth dimming, control, and expanded functionality. Stepless dimming from 0.1 to 100% ensures flicker-free, color-consistent output even at minimal brightness levels. The system supports both wired and wireless control, featuring DMX, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net, and sACN Ethernet protocols. Additionally, it offers app-based control via Bluetooth through the Sidus Link and Sidus Link Pro apps, making it seamlessly compatible with professional lighting setups.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the light’s IP65-rated construction ensures resistance to dust and moisture, making it ideal for challenging environments. It also features a Bowens S mount, allowing compatibility with a wide range of Bowens-modifiers, enabling easy attachment and secure locking for versatile use.
