xThe Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Audio is a professional SDI audio de-embedder designed to extract embedded audio from SDI video signals. It supports SD, HD, and 3G-SDI formats up to 1080p60, making it suitable for broadcast, studio, live production, and professional AV environments.
The converter provides four channels of balanced analog audio output and eight channels of balanced AES/EBU digital audio output through professional 1/4-inch connections. This allows SDI audio to be connected directly to mixers, audio monitors, analog decks, and other professional audio equipment.
For reliable video connectivity, the Mini Converter SDI to Audio includes one SDI input, one redundant SDI input, and one SDI loop output. The redundant input can automatically take over if the primary SDI signal is lost, helping maintain signal continuity in professional production environments.
The unit supports automatic detection of SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals and provides SDI re-clocking for stable signal output. Configuration and firmware updates can be performed through the USB 2.0 interface using compatible Mac and Windows software.
