The Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K is a professional Ultra HD live production switcher designed for broadcast, live events, studios, sports and multi-camera productions. It combines 20 standards-converted 12G-SDI inputs with 12 12G-SDI outputs, providing extensive connectivity for professional production environments.

Every video input includes frame resynchronization and frame rate and format conversion, allowing different cameras and video sources to be used together without requiring external converters. The switcher supports SDI rates from 1.5G to 12G and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60.

The 2 M/E architecture provides two independent mix/effects buses, while the built-in DVEs and eight ATEM Advanced Keyers provide powerful tools for transitions, chroma keying, graphics and picture-in-picture compositions. Its SuperSource processor adds additional DVE layers for creating multi-window layouts and complex live compositions.

For monitoring, the ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K provides two multiview outputs, allowing operators to monitor program, preview, inputs, media players, keyers and other production sources. The switcher also includes a built-in media pool for storing still graphics and animations for use during live production.

Audio is handled through an integrated 48-channel Fairlight mixer with a 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, noise gate and expander. Built-in talkback also supports communication with compatible professional intercom systems.

The ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K can be controlled from its front panel, through ATEM Software Control on Mac or Windows, or with optional ATEM hardware control panels. Its USB-C webcam output also makes it suitable for streaming and computer-based video production workflows.
