xThe Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Audio to SDI is a professional audio embedding solution designed to combine external audio with SDI video signals. It supports SD, HD, and 3G-SDI formats, making it suitable for broadcast, studio, live production, post-production, and professional AV applications.
The converter accepts four channels of balanced analog audio or eight channels of balanced AES/EBU digital audio. This allows audio from professional mixers, decks, and other audio equipment to be embedded directly into an SDI video signal.
It features one SDI input, one redundant SDI input, and one SDI output. The alternate SDI input provides automatic failover if the primary SDI input loses its signal, helping maintain reliable video connectivity during professional production workflows.
The Mini Converter Audio to SDI automatically detects incoming SD, HD, and 3G-SDI video formats. It also provides SDI re-clocking and supports embedded audio at 48 kHz and 24-bit, helping maintain reliable audio and video performance.
Configuration is available through the built-in mini switches or compatible computer software using the USB 2.0 connection. The USB port can also be used for firmware updates. A 12V universal power supply with international socket adapters is included.
