xThe Blackmagic Design Smart Videohub 40 x 40 6G-SDI is a professional multi-format SDI router designed for broadcast, live production, and post-production environments. It provides 40 6G-SDI inputs and 40 6G-SDI outputs, allowing users to route SD, HD, Ultra HD, and DCI 4K signals through a single compact system.
The router supports simultaneous routing of different video formats and automatically detects SD, HD, and 6G-SDI signals. Built-in SDI reclocking on the outputs helps maintain signal quality, while support for 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 sampling and 10-bit processing makes it suitable for professional video workflows.
For hands-on operation, the Smart Videohub features 40 front-panel buttons, a scroll wheel, menu controls, and a built-in 5-inch LCD for viewing video and routing information. It can also be controlled remotely through Ethernet using Blackmagic Videohub software, Smart Control and Master Control panels, or the Videohub SDK.
