xThe Blackmagic Design Studio Converter provides a professional studio workflow using a single 10G Ethernet connection between a compatible Blackmagic Studio Camera and the studio. It carries the camera feed, return program feed, timecode, reference, tally, talkback, control, and camera power over one Ethernet cable.
Designed for the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro and compatible Studio Camera Pro models, the converter provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional SMPTE fiber workflows. Its 10G Ethernet connection can carry the required camera signals while also supplying power to the camera through PoE.
At the studio end, the Blackmagic Studio Converter provides breakout connections for video, audio, talkback, timecode, reference, and other production signals. It also converts camera and program return feeds to SDI, making it easier to integrate a Studio Camera into a professional broadcast or production environment.
The converter supports 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G-SDI and can handle HD and Ultra HD video formats up to 2160p60. It provides 10-bit 4:2:2 video processing with support for Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces.
For production communication, the Studio Converter supports production and engineering talkback, along with program audio. It also includes reference and timecode connections for professional studio synchronization workflows.
The built-in 2.2-inch color display and control panel provide convenient access to device settings and monitoring information. The converter also includes a built-in speaker and Ethernet connectivity for external control and software updates.
